	1. What kind of products can you source or produce for us?
	We started our business by these products listed below, as my partners and I have many years experience working in these products, and as the business is growing now, we are also trying to expand our products line according to the customers’ inquiry. 	2. What quantity of product makes it viable for me to import?
	This will depend upon several factors so as to get the optimum economies of scale that make importing profitable, as well as to find a factory that will want to take on the project. When we speak with the factories we take into consideration aspects such as:- 1. The type and value of the product and relate it back to how much it costs to transport it. 2. Your expected frequency of purchases As a general rule of thumb, and of course dependent on the product, if you are prepared to spend US$6, 000 of one type of product, then it is very probable that sourcing products overseas should be a profitable exercise for you. REC always do a pre-assessment and landed quote so you know what each item will cost and so as to avoid being hit by the hidden costs often associated with importing. 	3. Which countries can REC import from?
	By now REC is not only concentrated the manufacturers in the mainland of China, but also trying to promote our business to some other developing countries, like Vietnam, India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, and we are planning to establish our overseas office in the next few years. Our consulting team always helps our customers to make the decision for where the product is best manufactured, and aim to have products produced in the country and region that they can be best produced both quality and price wise. 	4. How can REC make sure the quality?
	As the quality is an incredibly important part that nearly all our customers are most concerned, REC always send the experienced staff on the ground to inspect product in various stages of production to ensure that all quality standards are met. Further to this, REC has formulated proven procedures and systems to greatly reduce the risk involved. REC also has a pre-production sample produced which we require to be signed off on before commencement of production. This allows our customers be confident in our ability to produce the required products. REC also works off a quality check list which we formulate with your specific requests and feedback at the beginning and throughout the life of a project.
	5. What do I need to prepare before starting importing from China?
	1. You will need to provide us with either a sample or detailed product drawings of the particular item. 2. A list of any required specifications product. 3. A list of any Standards the products are required to meet in the market that they are to be sold.
	6. How long will it take for my products to be manufactured?
	This is highly dependent on the specific product and the requirement for any tooling/molding/set up or production of customized raw material. REC start by doing thorough research on the factories available that produce your product or who specialize in your products required production method. Once we have received the various factories specifications, quotes, timeframes and often samples to assess the best quality to price ratio we present this to you. If you are happy with the presented project, then production and delivery takes between 2 and 6 months (as mentioned dependent on the tooling/molding/set up period as well as the time required to acquire the raw material.) We will discuss this individual to your product with you so you can manage your stock levels. Repeat orders are then usually between 2 and 3 months. Again this timeframe is dependent on the number of steps required in the production process and the accessibility of the raw material. For example some of our raw materials are produced specifically in a customized batch for our clients if it is not a common material in the market. This process can therefore add a little more time if required. REC can however store material for future orders to reduce the lead time if required.
	7. What process can I expect to happen through the importing process with REC?
	After an information gathering exercise with you, either in person, on the phone, or by email, the REC team research the best possible options for your business. This includes particulars such as which country and area has the best and required quality to price ratio for your particular products to be sourced from, or manufactured in. REC does thorough research on the factories available and once we have received the various factories specifications, quotes, and timeframes we present this to you. If you are happy with the presented project REC then acquires samples of the product from the factory for your assessment. Once you give the go ahead REC place and manage the production with the selected factory. Once the order is completed our people on the ground will do a final quality check according to the approved sample and your specifications given. REC then manages all of the logistics, customs requirements, and other details required when importing into your country. The goods are then delivered to your business.
	8. Why should I use your services and why is it different to using purchasing websites like Alibaba & Made in China?
	Whilst importing from China represents great opportunities to save a substantial amount of money, it also can be a fast way to lose a great deal of money as there is always a certain level of risk. The purchasing websites provide the contact details of suppliers in China but should you choose to go through this method you are still exposed to all the risks of importing without the contacts and knowledge required to do this well. Sometimes you are lucky and all goes smoothly however there is a reason why there are so many stories of people being “burnt” by importing. It is not always the suppliers, but often it is the management of the process. This management is which is where REC adds a great deal of value and substantially reduces the risk your business is exposed to. REC has both an Shanghai head office (so you can contact us at any time, get a response, and get the full true picture of the real situation) as well as personnel on the ground of different areas in China to keep track of the actual situation and monitor quality thereby substantially reducing the risk your business is exposed to whilst still helping you achieve the many benefits and cost savings of importing. REC is also better able to monitor the product quality and ensure you are getting what you have paid for, before the shipment leaves the overseas port.
	9. Is it cheaper for me to buy from factories myself on these purchasing websites rather than use REC’s service?
	Not necessarily. Due to our presence on the ground overseas REC achieves excellent pricing in comparison with what they usually give International buyers. Another main factory is that from an online presence it is often deceiving as you may actually be speaking with an agent and not necessarily the factory directly even if they tell you this. Of course this agent is making a hidden margin and this can also lead to a risky situation as they have no real bearing over the factory or your production.
	10. What if my product is not a generic off the shelf product but needs to be made to our specifications?
	That is not a problem. If you can provide REC with either drawings, samples, and or the products specifications, REC will be able to find a manufacturer that can produce in the required manufacturing method.
	11. How does REC charge for the products and the services?
	Once REC has gathered factories quotes to find you the best quality to price ratio, REC quotes the off land or landed cost per each item. This allows you to know the price and budget accordingly. REC also charges at the buying rate of the day for the currency exchange so you always get a fair price.
	12. How do I pay the manufacturers for the goods?
	Payments are usually made in increments as the factory stipulates. For example the most common is a 30% deposit upon placement of the order with the remaining 70% due upon completion of production before the goods are shipped. This amount is calculated based on the buying rate of the US dollar of the day and paid directly to REC who then make all payments to the factory.
	13. How will my goods be shipped and delivered?
	REC generally uses sea freight due to the weight and volume of goods. Once the products have been finished, we will have our shipping agent here to pick up the container to the nearest port in China and have the local customs cleared, and then we can deliver the products to your shipping agent if you have. Or if you don’t have a local shipping forwarder there, then REC will arrange our shipping agent in China to ship your products to your country and have the local customs cleared, and then delivery out to your business warehouse. REC manages all logistics for you as part of our service. If there is ever an urgent requirement, REC is also able to arrange air freight for certain volumes if you require this. This is often done for light or high value items. REC is also able to arrange delivery to other states or countries so feel free to ask if this is what you require. REC has clients all over the world so this is not a problem.
	14. What if my product needs to adhere to specific standards?
	Since you are the expert in your particular product, please advise us if your product is required to adhere to any standards, or if it requires any permits or particular approvals as this is your responsibility to communicate to REC, Bureau Veritas, Intertek or UL.
	15. Why should I source from China or overseas countries?
	Importing may, or may not be for you. A couple of reasons why sourcing from overseas may be a profitable and viable option for you are: A) Profit Margins – by using the REC service you can cut your product or component costs much more than manufacturing them in the local factories. This will of course give you more flexibility to either make higher profit margins on the quantity you sell, or alternatively reduce prices to become more competitive so you can sell larger quantities of your product. B) Outsource labor intensive processes – With not only the expense of these processes, often it is hard to find the skilled staff that can perform them. By outsourcing some of these processes you can better utilize your current staff on higher value often more customized production work.
